Our DJ, Hector Duron, was organized and prompt.  He not only was a good DJ but he also was a great MC.  He was able to interact with the guests at the appropriate time without being obnoxious.  He also had a couple of great ideas and suggestions about activities to have the guests partake in - he suggested for every guests in a table to sing a song with the word 'love' if they wish for us to kiss. This was a great idea - all the guests really got invovled which made the evening fun!  Hector played the appropriate songs and had our guests grooving on the dance floor.  I didn't have to worry about the timeline on the day of the event because Hector took care of everything.  I didn't worry throughout the evening and had a wonderful time at my own wedding!

We first saw Hector working a wedding in July 08 and immediately knew we wanted him to DJ our daughters' Quinceanera.   At our first meeting we were so impressed that we hired him on the spot.  He was extremely professional, detail-oriented, organized and offered great advice.  He made us feel like our event was the most important event of the year and was always available to discuss any questions or concerns.  At the party, Hector was AWESOME! He was very accommodating and literally came to the rescue each time we encountered a problem.  Hector treated us like royalty and for all his help and kindness I will be forever grateful.   His expertise truthfully made a difference as even though we were behind schedule Hector managed to make everything work beautifully.   The music was exactly what we wanted to hear and everyone had a great time. Hector is awesome!

He was the DJ at our wedding and did and amazing job.  My husband is really perticular when it comes to music, so he was also very perticular about our DJ.  We were not disappointed with Hector!  He met with us twice to get all the details in order and was so fun to work with.  I love to dance and I don't think I left the dancefloor the whole night.  Every song he played was one I loved.  The dance floor was packed all night long.

First off, I don't even YELP but this is worth YELPING for!!

We were lucky enough to have Hector DJ our wedding and then we hired him again for a birthday party. He was very detail-oriented, organized, very professional, well-prepared and most important on time! He kept the crowd dancing the entire night, which was no easy task considering the diversity of the crowd and the wide range of ages represented. I never once had to mention a song to play because he was already playing it. To anyone planning a Wedding, Corporate Gig or Holiday Event to a simple Birthday Party or Plain old House Party use Hector @ HD Entertainment. Not only will you not be disappointed you will use them over and over and send all your friends their way too.

I've been to at least 30 weddings and Hector by far outplayed any other DJ! 10 out of 10 stars!

Hector was wonderful! It's hard to please a crowd of all ages, especially when celebrating a 60th birthday party. But, Hector pulled it off! I must let you know how impressed I was with Hector at Megan and Moey's weddings. "Thank you" Hector was a perfect match for this couple and there family. Here is my impression of Hector. He shows up early, he is well dressed and groomed (even to set up for the event), he is friendly and cooperative with absolutely everyone. When the event starts he is professional and kind of like a personal assistant to everybody. He does his job, he gets drinks and takes care of the guests when appropriate, cleans tables and picks up trash. What ever needs to be done he will do if he has time. If Hector is ever stressed you would NEVER know it. He is always patient and never makes any body feel rushed, but somehow he always manages to put things back on track effortlessly. As a Masters of Ceremonies, Hector is one of the best I have seen. He is not flashy or a showman, The event is not about him. We found Hector Duron by chance. My husband had gone to one of the Open Houses to meet with another DJ that was recommended to us. However, Hector approached my husband and they started talking. My husband knew right away that this was the guy. His next step was convincing me. I was away on business and didn't get to go to the open house. This letter is really long over due.  Even though our wedding with Hector Duron was just over a month ago I wanted to write a complimentary letter for his services at least 6 months ago.  Hector really did go above and beyond for us for over a year!

I don't know if you recall the email/ Thanksgiving card I had sent you last November.  I was really impressed.   I had heard great things through friends and The Knot.   Your open house was my one and only!  I seriously had told my fiancé at the time "not to worry, that I wasn't going to sign anything or put down anything non-refundable!"

Hector Duron was the first DJ I had met and he should have been my last.  I just needed to see for myself what the different levels and prices were all about.  Hector had sold me. I left there with complete confidence that I had just put money down and signed for my Best Wedding Investment!
When I went home and told my fiancé that the DJ/ Masters of Ceremonies was taken care of.  Immediately of course his first question was how much?  I told him that I have complete confidence in this guy and it would be worth it.   He has already put my mind at ease and taken away some of my stress!  I was never worried. 

From The Day I Met Hector, He Was There For His Client.  He came to our home where the wedding was to take place,  met my now husband (Greg), saw the layout of the property, got to see where he would set up, and met half of the groomsmen. 

We went through everything, and unless you've done this before, YOU HAVE NO IDEA what it involves!  We picked out almost all of the music.  He had been there so long we had to insist he have lunch.   Hector was so patient, professional and polite!  I would change my mind constantly on certain songs, even until the day before the wedding!   THIS Is Key*   Hector  IS SO GOOD  at what he does and LISTENING in to what his clients want and like,  he was even able to pick certain songs for us!

I would call, text and email him venting with all kinds of wedding issues!  Hector NEVER let me down.  He would constantly reassure me not to worry.  He is a bride’s best friend and that takes a lot of heat off the groom!  My husband will never know exactly how much venting Hector heard from me but that's ok.  We both know now that Hector Duron was our best investment!

The day of the wedding Hector was perfect!  Nothing but professional.  He looked so nice he should have been in our wedding photos!   He would even remind me how much time I had with the photographers so I would be sure to get certain shots!  Who does that?!?  The photographers didn't even do that for me!

 I am writing this letter to inform you of the exceptional job that Hector Duron did at our Quinceanera event on Jan 5, 2008.  Hector’s contribution really added to the success of my daughter’s Quinceanera celebration.  As you know, we franticly inquired about a DJ two weeks prior to our event. Hector promptly returned our phone call.  Although he had an extremely busy schedule, he sensed our urgency and accommodated our schedule by meeting with us that same night.  He was outstanding both during our initial meeting and at the reception celebration.

During our initial meeting with Hector, my husband and I were impressed by his professionalism and patience.   That same night, he spent approximately 3 hours outlining the entire agenda and timeline for our event.  We never felt rushed even though Hector had additional late night work and an early flight the next morning.  Furthermore, Hector impressed my 15 year old daughter (anyone who has a teenager knows how difficult this is to accomplish) by allowing her to give input and gaining her perspective of what music she liked and how she visualized her event.  She was so thrilled to be included in the decision making process.  Unbeknownst to Hector, my daughter would be the one who would make the final decision to hire him.  Needless to say, she asked us to hire him on the spot.  After having interviewed several DJs and leaving our meeting with Hector, we felt confident that he was the best person for the job. 

During the reception more of Hector’s abilities were revealed.  I put together a photo montage, but was unable to complete the audio component of the presentation.  Hector came to the rescue, he asked for what songs I had in mind, added a few of his own, and he blended the perfect combinations of songs to accompany my presentation.  Everything he selected was perfect!  Additionally, Hector blended and faded the music for the “Surprise dance” routine that the Quinceanera Court of Honor was to perform to.  Hector was very proactive and took just enough charge without being overbearing or intrusive.  Compared to previous DJ’s we have hired, Hector has been by far the best.  We also received numerous complements from our guest about him.  Our guest noticed, as we did, that Hector was more than a DJ; he was our MC, event coordinator, and kept everything on track while being flexible to our last minute changes.  Without his experience and proactive approach I am certain that our function would not have run as smooth as it did.  I felt relaxed because I knew that Hector would take care of it.  He kept us on track with our timeline, he was friendly towards us and our guests, and he was articulate and professional during announcements. He kept the dance floor packed, so much in fact, that we had to extend his time because everyone wanted to continue dancing. 

I could not have asked for a better DJ or a more positive experience.  Hector is an outstanding DJ and individual.  Thank you so much for recommending him to us.  We will definitely solicit his services again and recommend him to others.  He was the best investment we made.

p.s. for customers who choose a DJ based on photo appearance – his website photo does not do him justice.  He is much thinner, more handsome, and friendlier in person.
